This is my spaghetti recipe. Eat yummy food and lose weight!!
Ingredients:
- Whole Wheat Spaghetti
- 2 regular size cans of chopped tomatoes (italian ready)
- 1 regular size can of tomato sauce
- The smallest can of tomato paste
- 1 chopped onion
- Diced garlic (I use the stuff in the jars pre-diced)
- 1 can of mushrooms
- Oregano
- Basil
- Bay Leaf
- Olive oil
Instructions: 1. Get a large non-stick pan and put the chopped onion, garlic, and about 1 tablespoon of olive oil in it. I usually use about 1 1/2 spoon fulls of garlic. Use however much you want. I think the garlic gives it an awesome flavor.
2. Cook on low until the onions are more tender. You can usually tell when they start to look clear.
3. Add mushrooms into the mixture and let that cook for a few minutes.
4. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and bay leaf into the mixture and mix well.
5. Sprinkle oregano and basil into the mixture and stir.
6. Cook covered on low for about 20 minutes.
7. Keep the sauce covered and get a pot and boil water. Add noodles.
When the noodles are done, strain them. Put noodles on your plate with however much sauce you want. Sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top if you would like, and serve with a side of garlic bread :)
